Most of our customers came to us for one thing: a machine, a repair, a bag of beans. They stayed because they only need one number. Here's the full picture.

Advice before you buy
Not sure what you need? Tell us how you'll use it and we'll spec it. We'd rather sell you the right machine once than the wrong machine twice.
- Sized to your covers, not your budget alone
- Water testing and filtration advice
- Honest word when a smaller machine will do
Delivered and set up properly
We gather the whole package (machine, grinder, filtration, accessories) and get it to you with an engineer. Usually one of ours; sometimes one of our network closer to you. Either way it's set up, dialled in and working before they leave.
- Shipping included with commercial machines
- Pressures set, filtration fitted, grinder dialled in
- Engineer network across the UK
Barista and cleaning training
Hands-on training for your staff on the machine they'll actually use, including the daily clean-down that prevents most of the faults we get called out for.
- Extraction, dosing and milk
- Backflushing and group cleaning
- Refreshers when the team changes

Coverage
We ship to the islands. And we travel there.
A broken machine on Lewis is a different problem from a broken machine on Sauchiehall Street. We've been sending equipment and engineers across the water for years, and we plan the job around that from the first phone call. Based in England? We can supply the equipment and arrange the installation through our engineer network closer to you.
- The whole package travels together We gather everything you need (machine, grinder, filtration, accessories) and one of our engineers travels with it to install it and make sure it's set up properly. If you buy a commercial machine, shipping is included in the cost.
- Or an engineer from our network Where it makes more sense, we use a trusted engineer closer to you. Same standard of install, less time and cost spent getting someone there.
- We diagnose before we travel A call or a short video of the fault tells us what is likely wrong before anyone sets off, so the engineer knows what to bring. On the islands, that is the difference between one visit and two. Send photos or a video of the fault to info@espressoservices.co.uk. Seeing the problem often helps us work out what's needed before a visit is booked.
- Trips grouped around scheduled visits When we're heading to the islands or the Highlands, we plan the run so several jobs get covered in one trip. That keeps the travel cost fair for everyone on the route, so it's always worth asking when we're next up your way.
- We have the parts before we set off We hold thousands of spares in our Glasgow store, and we can get in anything we don't stock, so the right parts are with the engineer before the visit is booked. Our vans also carry the common spares, so if something else turns up while we're there, we can usually sort it on the day.
- Or send it to the workshop Any machine or grinder can be sent or brought in to us at Govan. Depending on the job and where you are, that can work out faster and cheaper than sending an engineer out. We'll tell you straight which way round makes sense.
Service & repairs
When it stops, you're losing money by the hour
Tell us the make, model and what it's doing, and we'll work out the quickest way to get you running again: an engineer out to you, or a slot in the workshop.
On-site commercial repairs
Our engineers work on commercial machines and grinders in place: in the café, the hotel kitchen, the office. Boiler and pump faults, leaks, pressure and temperature problems, grinder rebuilds, safety certificates, and a yearly service that stops the breakdown happening mid-rush.
We don't sell monthly maintenance plans. We put out equipment built to last, and for most businesses a yearly service plus repairs as they come up works out cheaper than paying a subscription for a machine that isn't going wrong. You keep the money until you actually need us.
We're also the official La Pavoni UK service centre, and we handle warranty work for the brands we sell right here in Glasgow.
Boiler safety certificates
A commercial machine runs a pressurised boiler, and insurers or environmental health officers will often ask to see a current safety certificate for it. We can carry out the checks and issue one.
Most people have it done alongside the yearly service, so it's one visit rather than two. Tell us when you book if you need the paperwork for an inspection date.
Checked and recorded
- Boiler pressure under load
- Safety and anti-vac valves
- Steam and water valves
- Gauges reading true
- Certificate
How a repair works
Make, model, and what it's doing. Photos or a short video of the fault help us pin it down faster.
Often over the phone. Some faults you can clear yourself in ten minutes, and we'll say so.
Some faults we can price straight away. Others we need to see before we can be honest about the cost. We'll say which it is.
We come out to commercial sites. The Govan workshop mainly handles home machines, but if you can get a commercial machine to us, that is sometimes quicker.
Pressures set, machine run and tested, and a note of what we did.
Keeping you stocked
The coffee, cups and consumables to go with it
Once the machine is in, you still need beans going through it and something to serve them in. We supply both, along with the filters and cleaning kit that keep the machine healthy between services.
Takeaway cups, lids and cafe cups can go out with the machine, either plain or matching the coffee brand we supply you. These aren't listed on the site, so ask us for options and quantities.
Customers who buy their coffee from us get priority when something needs looking at. If we're supplying your beans, you're already on our list, and you go to the front of the queue.
Coffee beans
Espresso blends by the kilo for the bar, and smaller bags for home.
Water filters & fittings
Filtration to suit your water. Included in the package where a machine needs it.
Cleaning products
Backflush powder, brushes and descaler. The daily clean prevents most callouts.
Spare parts
Thousands of parts on the shelf, with exploded diagrams to find the right one.
Not sure what you need?
Start a business, and we'll spec the coffee side of it
If you're opening a café, adding coffee to an existing business, or replacing a machine that's had its day, you don't need to know the answers before you call. You just need to be able to describe your day.
We'll work out the machine size, the grinder to match it, the water treatment your area needs, and what it'll cost to run. Then we install it, train your team on it, and look after it.
What we'll ask you
- 01Roughly how many coffees a day, and how many in your busiest hour?
- 02How much of it is milk-based? Flat whites hit a boiler harder than espresso.
- 03How much counter space, and is there a mains water supply and a drain nearby, or would it need a fill tank and a waste container?
- 04What's the electrical supply? A 13A socket runs a smaller machine, but most two group machines need a hard-wired supply of their own, and some need three phase.
- 05How hard is your water? It decides your filtration and your service intervals.
- 06Has your team made coffee before, or are we starting from scratch?
- 07Buying outright, or would leasing suit the cashflow better? We can point you to a lease company if so.
Common questions
The things people ring up and ask
Do you service machines I didn't buy from you?
Yes. Tell us the make, model and what it's doing and we'll take it from there. We work on most commercial and domestic brands and hold parts for a lot of them, so it rarely matters where the machine came from.
Do you deliver to the Hebrides and the Highlands?
Yes. If you buy a commercial machine, shipping is included in the cost, and an engineer travels with it to install it and set it up. Tell us your island and we'll work out the best way to get everything there.
I'm in England. Can you still help?
Yes. We supply the equipment from Glasgow and arrange the installation through an engineer from our network closer to you, so you get the same setup without paying for someone to drive the length of the country.
How often should a commercial machine be serviced?
Once a year suits most cafes. Somewhere very busy, or on hard water without good filtration, may want it looked at more often. The daily clean down matters just as much, and it's free.
Can you issue a boiler safety certificate?
Yes. We carry out the checks and issue the certificate, usually at the same time as a yearly service. Let us know when you book if you need it for an inspection.
Do you offer a monthly maintenance plan?
No, and we'd rather explain why than sell you one. We put out equipment built to last, so for most businesses a yearly service plus repairs as they come up works out cheaper than a subscription for a machine that isn't going wrong. Leasing the machine itself is possible through a lease company if the cashflow suits you better.
Can you supply the coffee, cups and cleaning products too?
Yes, all of it. Cups aren't listed on the site, but we can supply takeaway cups, lids and cafe cups alongside the machine, either plain or matching the coffee brand we supply you. Customers who buy their coffee from us also get priority when something needs looking at.
My machine has stopped. What should I do first?
Have a look at our troubleshooting guide before you do anything else, because a fair few faults are a blocked group or a filter that's due. If that doesn't sort it, ring us on 0141 425 1083 with the make and model to hand.
